1. Overview & Privacy First Philosophy

Device Stats is developed by Dev Bits as an offline, minimal hardware and system information utility for Android devices.

Your privacy is our core foundational priority. We do not collect, store, transmit, process, or sell any personal data, hardware identifiers, or usage statistics whatsoever.

2. Information Accessed & On-Device Processing

To display detailed hardware metrics, Device Stats reads local system and hardware properties via standard Android framework APIs. All such information remains strictly in volatile memory and is never recorded or transmitted off your device:

• Processor & Hardware: CPU architecture, core counts, CPU cluster frequencies, and real-time clock speeds.
• Graphics: GPU model, vendor, OpenGL ES extensions, and Vulkan driver versions.
• Memory & Storage: Total and available RAM, internal storage capacity, and available disk space.
• Battery & Power: Current battery percentage, battery health, charging status, voltage, temperature, and technology.
• Thermal Status: Current device thermal headroom and thermal throttling severity.
• Display: Resolution, screen refresh rate, display density (DPI), HDR support, and color mode.
• Cameras: Camera sensor resolutions, physical lenses, supported focal lengths, and aperture values.
• Sensors: Live readings from available hardware sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, magnetometer, light sensor, etc.).
• Network Information: Current network type (Wi-Fi/Cellular), link speed, Wi-Fi SSID, frequency band, and local IP addresses.
• Operating System & Build: Android version, API level, security patch date, build fingerprint, and kernel release.

3. Permissions Disclosures

Device Stats is designed to operate with minimal permissions. It requires zero runtime/dangerous permissions. The only permissions declared in the manifest are normal Android permissions that require no user prompt:

• android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Used solely to query whether your device has an active Wi-Fi or cellular network connection and inspect local connection capabilities.
• android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Used solely to read local Wi-Fi parameters such as SSID, frequency, and link speed for technical diagnosis.

Device Stats does NOT request internet permission (INTERNET), camera permission, location permission, storage permission, microphone, contacts, or phone state.

4. Zero Third-Party Services & No Advertising

Device Stats contains:

• No advertising SDKs (no Google AdMob, Unity Ads, AppLovin, etc.).
• No analytics or telemetry (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Sentry, Flurry, etc.).
• No tracking cookies or device fingerprinting.
• No third-party SDKs that transmit data.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA & Families Policy)

Device Stats is a general utility tool suitable for audiences of all ages. Because the application does not collect any personal information from any user, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play's Families Policy.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because Device Stats does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on remote servers, there is no remote data to retain or delete. All cached visual data resides exclusively in your device's application sandbox and is immediately cleared when you clear application storage or uninstall the application.

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect future app enhancements or updates to Google Play Developer Program policies. Any revisions will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
